We connect with Maine-based and wine industry community members who share our committments to the health of local agricultural, uplifting small-scale producers, and ensuring equitable access to bounty we can share with each other!

Niweskok is a a collaboration of food and medicine providers, rematriating Wabanaki lifeways through engaging with their kinship responsibilities and reclaiming traditional foods & healing. They prioritize restoring the Penobscot Bay region as a Wabanaki foodhub.



In additional to seasonal community cultural camps and workshops, Niweskok organizers and community members are focused on some additional projects on their newly acquired 245-acre working farm near Belfast in coastal Penobscot territory. Priorities for 2025 include...
+ Renovating their Community Center
+ Hosting a community birch bark canoe building event
+ Establishing the Aganu Kkihkan/Welcome Garden
+ Ecological Restoration mapping
+ Developing outdoor classroom spaces, including an outdoor kitchen
+ Erecting a up 30×96' greenhouse
